Kiss the Bride as the Sun Goes Down

Via Flickr:
Here's a cool shot from today's wedding that I shot. We were either trying to stay inside away from the heat, or dodging thunderstorms all day, but just before the sky went completely dark, I got the Bride and Groom, out on the dock at The Grille at Riverview for a couple quick photos, I really like this one.

Strobist Info: Canon 540EZ at 1/128 power, on a lightstand high camera left. Triggered with a Photix Strato Radio Trigger.

Wedding in New Smyrna Beach, FL.

New Smyrna Beach Family Photography- 4 Generations

Last wednesday I met up with the Wayman family to make their family portraits on the beach in New Smyrna Beach, FL.  There were 4 generations of women as part of this session.  It is always cool for me when I can photograph a family and see the likenesses between the generations.  These are some of my favorite photographs from the session. (Also, kinda a funny side note, this session was at North Beach Community Park in New Smyrna Beach, there was another photographer shooting a family session when I got there, and guess what, as I was finishing up, a 3rd photographer showed up with another family.  I guess my secret photo location has gotten out into the public.)

Have a great day!
Stay tuned, I've got atleast 2 more family sessions this week, and a wedding next week, so there are going to be some more awesome photos posted here soon.

Here is the cool part...

Check out the last blog post, I said that the family I shot had a cool announcement that they were making... Well, I knew what it was, but this morning my client emailed me, that they had made the card for the announcement, check it out...

That's Right.... The Millers are having their second set of twins!!!

I'm so glad I was able to shoot these photos.  It was a really fun session.
Thank You Lynel, Brett, Devin, and Hope, and the new Twins!... It was a lot of fun, I'm glad you love all your photographs.

The Millers- New Smyrna Beach, FL Family Portrait Photographer

Last week I met up with the Miller family on the beach in front of their condo in New Smyrna Beach, FL.  The Millers were on vacation from Utah and were only in town for a couple more days.  They love New Smyrna Beach, and really wanted to set up a photo session before they left.  The Millers also wanted photos so they could use them to make a special announcement to their friends and family when they get home.  These are some of my favorite shots from the session.

A Daytona Beach Greek Orthodox Baptism

UPDATED 6/17/2011: Video Slide Show Added.

A week and a half ago I had the opportunity to photograph a Greek Orthodox Baptism in Daytona Beach, FL. It was very interesting seeing all the traditions of the Greek Orthodox Church. I would also like to thank Father Joseph for telling me about each of the traditions and allowing me to photograph the event for the family. Here are some of my favorite images from the ceremony.

A Bridal Portrait Session with Starla

UPDATED May 24, 2011:  Video Slide-Show Added.

Last week I was sent to North Carolina to photograph college graduations for one of the other companies that I work for.  After I was finished with photographing all the graduations I had some time to go visit some friends who live up there.  I have known Starla since we were in college together, both studying Political Science.  Just over a year ago Starla got married and her wedding was the first wedding I photographed.  Well, my photography has come along way in that year.  While I was visiting Starla we set up an impromptu Bridal Portrait Session.  The session included everything from old rusted metal buildings, a dog, a tractor ride, and horses.  Here are some of my favorite images from the session.

These two shots were fun.  Starla's husband Brandon got their tractor to give Starla a ride down to the pasture so we could get some shots with the horses.

This is Starla's horse Rosco.  He was more cooperative then I was expecting and I was able to get some great photos.

Thank-You Starla, Brandon, and Rosco for making this photo shoot work.
Cheers,
-Pete
