I'm photographing graduations at UCF this week. That means I'll be photographing around 6,000 graduates. Along with the rest of the team from GradImages we will probably take close to 26,000 photographs at UCF during 4 main ceremonies, and at least 1 smaller ceremony for students in 1 major.
Good Luck Class of 2011!
If you happen to be graduating from UCF, make sure to stop by the white tent outside the arena before you go inside to line up for your graduation ceremony.

Brittany and CJ: New Smyrna Beach Engagement Photo Session
UPDATED April 16: Video Added!
On Saturday I had the opportunity to photograph Brittany and CJ. They have been married for a few year and are planning a wedding vow renewal ceremony this summer for their 5th anniversary. For their photo session I planed to photograph in two locations. The first part of our session was along Flagler Ave. in the heart of New Smyrna Beach. As we walked down the street I looked for locations with nice light and I gad a change to talk to Brittany and CJ and get to know them a little bit. For the second part of the photo shoot we traveled up to Smyrna Dunes Park. Located at the Northern most part of the New Smyrna Beach peninsula on the South side of The Ponce DeLeon Inlet. This park has a long boardwalk walkway which leads to a section of traffic free beach. We got there just before sunset and I made the light really work for me. Here are a few of the shots from Saturday.

A day at the beach: Family Portraits
UPDATED APRIL 12: Slide-show Video Added.
Yesterday I photographed a family portrait session in New Smyrna Beach. I had originally booked the session for Tuesday, but the weather was not fully cooperating. However, yesterday the weather was absolutely perfect, with sunny blue skies, a light wind, and a calm ocean. I met the family at one of my favorite local beach parks, which offers a couple different locations for some different looks. Here is a quick preview of a few shots from yesterday.

My Mom
My Mom
Originally uploaded by Emanon Photography
My mom has been asking me to shoot her portrait for a little while now, I tried an earlier portrait session with her but she did not like the results, and neither did I, so I didn't post any. But today, I went out to one of the local parks along the beach and made some portraits of my mom. I have been edinting and playing around with some different techniques and edit effects, I will post some more later on. But here is one of the shots from today that I like so far.
I think one of the problems I am having in making a portrait photo that my mom likes is that she essentially has not had a portrait made since she was in college. Even though her dad was also a photographer. So she tells me that when she sees photos of herself, it's not what she remembers or thinks she loos like, so she doesn't like the photos. So I'm trying to figure out some things I can do to shoot differently and edit differently to make a photo that she likes. My next plan is to do some one light studio portraits, high contrast, low-key type images.
Does anyone have any thoughts or sugestions?

Since I havn't shot anything else recently, I figured I would share one of my shots from yesterday. This is the UCF Knight stature in front of the UCF Alumni center. I did a little post processing to make the image pop.
