Not Happy
Then sometimes you shoot a photo, that grabs at some heartstrings and you realize how far you have come as a photographer.
I love this photo. The little guy here is a scant 22 months old and had both reactions that a little one his age typically has during a photo shoot. The other being sheer joy/inquisitive contemplation. I have learned to capture these images, and while their parents may not buy the image initially, once some time has passed and the little once grow a little older, it is these moments that parents miss and want to remember.

New Smyrna Beach Surfer Girl shot with an iPhone 5
I went out looking to shoot some stuff just for fun today (i.e. NOT a paid shoot). I ended up going up to the beach near the inlet where all the local surfers go. All I had was my iPhone, but I had just seen the article about a photographer at the olympics shooting photos with an iPhone and he use a technique shooting through a set of binoculars, so I tried it, and I have to say, the results were better than expected. I then edited the photos in the Snapseed app.
Not bad for shooting an iPhone through a cheap set of binoculars, just imagine if I had a Canon 1DX and a Canon 600mm!

Kiss the Bride as the Sun Goes Down
Via Flickr:
Here's a cool shot from today's wedding that I shot. We were either trying to stay inside away from the heat, or dodging thunderstorms all day, but just before the sky went completely dark, I got the Bride and Groom, out on the dock at The Grille at Riverview for a couple quick photos, I really like this one.
Strobist Info: Canon 540EZ at 1/128 power, on a lightstand high camera left. Triggered with a Photix Strato Radio Trigger.
Wedding in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
